Panini Coming to NBA Store!

Just hours ago, NBA Store Philippines’ Facebook page just posted this image hinting that Panini products will be hitting their stores soon.

We still don’t know what kind of products we’ll be seeing in this drop. Will it be Sports Cards or will it be memorabilia? Regardless, this is good news for sports card collectors, investors, or just sports collectors.

For years, we’ve been only getting our goods from international sellers and that entails a lot of added cost. Hopefully, this will help alleviate the cost even a bit (though I really think it will be more expensive than normal).

What if it’s sports cards?

I‘ll be happy with either memorabilia or sports cards but I’d be ecstatic if it’ll be sports cards. It means a lot to the hobby. Directly buying from a store means we’ll be paying for SRP and not re-sellers’ prices but it is also frightening.

I know it’s too early to ask for guidelines but I really hope that the NBA Store will put up a guideline should sports cards will be part of the menu. Let’s be real. Backdoor transactions will be rampant if they won’t put up guidelines for this and it will soon hurt our hobby as prices will be bloated should this practice ensues.

I’ll update you guys with this topic as soon as more details were released but as of now, let’s just be happy that Panini will be coming to our shore.
