A post by a certain J-r Glifonea Jr. made waves in our local collector group as it not only feature the fabled 1986 fleer Michael Jordan, it also has a Game Used Patch according to the slab. One thing to notice is the lack of the Beckett logo and was replaced by the patch.

This baffled some of the collectors and even old collectors as this was the first-time they saw a slab like this.

This is what we call a GGUM card. What this service do is they partner with Beckett and they add a game-used memorabilia in the slab.

Based on what I know, GGUM bought certain game-used items by world-class athletes like Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Babe Ruth and add certain pieces of those memorabilia to the slabbed card. As for Michael Jordan, they have a black Bulls jersey and white Wizards jersey while it’s a baseball bat for Babe Ruth and an event-worn shirt for Tiger Woods.

So technically, it’s a Beckett graded card with an additional memorabilia on it. Now is the card legit? Well if we trust Beckett, then yes. It’s a graded card and memorabilia authenticated by them.

Now with the question as to who is the real owner of this card since it’s posted by 2 different people, well it’s for a different story.
